Ultra-thin porcelain formed over a balloon, with ridges and stems in slightly thicker clay. The poppies are made from poppy seeds embedded in the wet clay. These burn out during the firing, adding an extra layer of texture. Metal salts and stains colour the piece. Although light as a feather, the bowl can be used for serving nibbles, sauces, or as a vase.
