This porcelain beaker is the ideal vessel for coffee, green tea, whiskey, whatever. It is made using a technique called nerikome, so the pattern goes right through the wall. Each beaker is made from a slice taken from the patterned “loaf”, so within a set, there are individual differences – no two are identical. The abstract design is a reworking of the bright windows in Charivari 1 and wanders right round the beaker.
